Axanthic
Axanthic is a recessive mutation that removes yellow (xanthin) pigment while leaving melanin intact. The result is a gray, black, and white snake that keeps its normal pattern and dark eyes but loses all warm coloration.
Pink Pastel Albino
Pink Pastel Albino is a recessive, tyrosinase-positive (T+) form of albino, distinct from Lavender, producing a pink-to-red toned snake.
Arctic x2
Superarctic is the two-copy (super) form of the Arctic gene — not a separate gene. It produces a stronger, more dramatic expression of the Arctic look: brighter, cleaner, often with very strong black-and-white contrast. It occurs when a hognose inherits Arctic from both parents.
Anaconda x2
Superconda is the two-copy (super) form of the Anaconda gene — not a separate gene. It produces an extreme reduction in pattern on the body, often resulting in a nearly patternless or greatly simplified appearance. The head stamp remains. It occurs when a hognose inherits Anaconda from both parents.
What makes a Pink Snow Superarctic Superconda
- Two copies of Axanthic — recessive, so it only shows when paired up.
- Two copies of Pink Pastel Albino — recessive, so it only shows when paired up.
- Two copies of Anaconda — the 'Superconda' super form.
- Two copies of Arctic — the 'Superarctic' super form.
This describes the genetics of the animal itself — not the odds from a pairing. Outcome odds are the Genetics Calculator's job.
